At Annette's Mindful Therapy Practice, we want mental health resources to be easily available for everyone. Resources that contain reputable information, supported by research, rather than pop culture pseudoscience. Annette is an advocate for homework with her clients, and often may provide resources and therapeutic activities to practice outside of session. Annette is a lifelong learner, with a passion for attending new trainings and reading new research to stay up-to-date and educated about various topics within the field of mental health. She is a provider that values quality evidence-based recommendations, rather than advice, with an awareness that no therapist should be telling clients what decisions to make. The client should always be in the driver's seat, so to speak. Annette hopes to inspire her clients with an increased sense of control in their lives, and control over their own choices, but with the right balance of guidance to support you in your unique goals along the path toward mental wellness.
Ultimately it is up to the client and their individual motivation for change, as well as motivation to engage with resources and local referrals. When it comes to participation in the therapeutic process, "you get out what you put in." Our objective is to provide you with the knowledge and resources you need to make well-informed choices about your mental health treatment.
